Action king Arjun is truly on Cloud Nine as he has recently bagged two big projects; Mani Ratnam's Pookkadai and A.M.R. Ramesh's bilingual Vana Yuddham.
Vana Yuddham will chronicle Veerappan’s youth, his entry into smuggling, his rise as a dacoit, his love
life, and finally his death at the hands of special team of police. In
the film Arjun will play the role of DGP K. Vijay Kumar, who goes on a
mission to capture the notorious sandalwood smuggler and dacoit
Veerappan.
On the other hand Mani Ratnam's Pookkadai is an intense love story based on the sensitive issue of plight of Rameshwaram fishermen at the hands of Sri Lankan Navy.
