Chennai, Jan.29: The year 2011 marks the centenary year of our prestigious National Anthem! Isn’t it a moment of pride and honour for all of us?! Our National Anthem was written composed by our very own Noble Laureate, Rabindranath Tagore in 1911 which was later adopted as our National Anthem in 1950. To mark this auspicious occasion, Ramraj Cotton recently came up with an idea of bringing out a chain of programs under the theme “Venmai Bharatham”.

A thematic desk calendar will be put will that will feature pictures of selected National leaders who played a significant role in the freedom struggle. A series of interactive display of the passage to freedom and the future road ahead will be the nature of the exhibitions and renowned personalities from the society will be called to address the young minds. Their new corporate advertisement will feature from the Republic day onwards and also an exclusive portal on ‘Venmai Bharatham’ will be shortly put up, and constantly upgraded, which will feature more Freedom Fighters and act as a stage for silent heroes of our motherland to be adored.

Speaking on the occasion, Actor Mr. Arjun said, “I am happy to be a part of the Ramraj family that takes special initiative towards the betterment of the nation. The role they play might be small but it’s significant and I am proud to be associated with them.” He was unveiled as their new Brand Ambassador who had a picture of our national flag tattooed permanently on his hand. The highlight of the event was when our National Anthem was sung in the Tamil version. Long live India!! Let’s salute our tri-colour with utmost pride and honour!
