Info Post
The ‘original’ action king of Kollywood Arjun is feeling the heat. Arjun in his late 40’s is finding the competition tough, as younger heroes are switching over to action movies.

Today there are many pretenders to his throne, which he assiduously built over the years by cultivating the B & C audiences. Now newer heroes like Vishal and Arun Vijay are making a dent in Arjun’s market. More alarming is that the B & C market has shrunk, reducing the action king’s impact.
Arjun’s recent action films like Durai and Thiruvannamalai, have sunk without a trace. The distributors who used to swear that he is a ‘Minimum Guarantee’ hero are now keeping away from his films. His action packed Vande Mataram, many years in the making has no takers.
Now the action hero is coming out with his new film Maasi, directed by G. Kitcha. As usual he has two heroines Hema and Archana for glamour. The highlight of the film is going to be Arjun who plays a cop and his clash with the bad guys Pradeep Ravat Kota Srineevasa Rao and Ponambalam.
Arjun desperately needs a hit to salvage his reputation as the ‘action king at the box-office’. Let us hope Maasi turns out to be a hit.
