''Bommalattam' is one of my best films ever. The screenplay is unique and nobody can predict the climax', says veteran director Bharathiraja.
Addressing media persons in Chennai on Tuesday, the director said, 'unfortunately the release of 'Bommalattam' has been delayed for some time. I hope the delayed release will not affect the film's fortunes at the box office'.
Bharathiraja further said, 'I worked with one of the best artistes in India, Nana Patekar. Though he is a bit eccentric, he is a thorough professional. Also, one would see Arjun donning a completely different role in the film. This would be a role that would not be like his routine commercial films'.
Bharathiraja exuded confidence that he would be flooded with offers from Bollywood once 'Bommalattam' releases simultaneously in Hindi as well as Tamil later this week.
Arjun, who was present on the occasion, expressed his joy at being part of such a coveted project. 'It was my burning desire to do a Bharathiraja movie right from my younger days. I admired him a lot and loved some of his films like 'Mudhal Mariyadhai'. 'Bommalattam' is a movie to cherish with in my career', he said.
